The Blystad Group

Company structure

The Group has active operations within three core segments; Shipping, Real Estate and Investments.

We create value by combining our industrial expertise with capital markets and by building reliable partnerships with other experts while maintaining our agile investment approach.

Whilst we are known as the Blystad Group, our business is handled through various subsidiaries using the prefix SONGA. The “Songa”-name comes from a river in Norway running through the town where the Blystad-familiy have their heritage.

The Blystad Group employs 20 professionals located at the company’s headquarters in Oslo. Our maritime organization employs ~50 onshore staff in Glasgow Scotland, and ~1,100 seafarers onboard our fleet.

Songa Shipholding

The Blystad Group owns and operates vessels in various shipping segments such as tankers, container feeder, car carriers and offshore supply. Longevity in the shipping market combined with a segement agnostic approach creates long term value.

Songa Real Estate

Our real estate projects through Songa Eiendom includes commercial space, housing projects and city development.

Songa Investments

Through Songa Investments and Songa Capital we have short and long term positions is listed/unlisted companies and startups within energy, shipping and more.
